The public rooms at Far Nook self catering cottage in Ambleside include large kitchen and dining area, lounge, TV lounge, sun room, office and utility.
Dining Kitchen
The kitchen is at the back of the house and is a large room with plenty of storage space in the cupboards. There is a large fridge and an integrated dishwasher; a further freestanding fridge-freezer is available in the under-stairs cupboard. The double range oven is electric and the hob has 5 gas burners. There are plenty of pots and pans as well as the good quality crockery and glassware. The dining area has a large table with 8 chairs; there are views out of a picture window toward Wansfell. Bi-fold doors open up this area to the outside where there is a large patio area with views over to Loughrigg.
Lounge
The lounge is in the centre of the house next to the kitchen and overlooking the highest part of the garden. The room contains a wood burning stove with accompanying log basket and tools for the fire. There is a Bluetooth enabled stereo, with DAB radio (although the signal strength is somewhat challenged by the surrounding hills) and for those Luddites like me it also plays CDs! There are two 3-seater sofas and two armchairs, with a coffee table for sociable evenings around the fire.
TV Lounge
The lounge is on the front right corner of the house. It has a Smart TV, DVD/Blu-ray player and use of a Netflix subscription. There is a gas burning stove in the fireplace adding further to the cosiness of the room. The lounge contains a two seater sofa, two armchairs, two decent sized footstools and a large window seat.
